What is the scope of Technical Support for HTML? While we try to be as helpful as possible, questions relating to HTML coding are considered beyond the scope of our Technical Support Department. Webmastering is considered to be the responsibility of the domain holder, please refer to the Software Manufactures Support page for specifics on each product. We guarantee that all files are kept on our servers for 90 days. However, there are some exceptions that are specific to each Preferred Stats Program and are indicated as follows:
ANALOG v2.11 - Analog compiles site statistics for a 90 day sliding "window" of time. Furthermore, Analog compiles reports based on .gz files and we guarantee that the last 90 days of data will be accessible for your statistics. For more information please see our support documentation on Usage Statistics May I use my own scripts and what is the scope of technical support? The ability to run custom scripts on your account allows you to add customized functionality to your web site. All of our hosting plans that include a unique IP address have the ability to run scripts. These scripts must be written in certain scripting languages and be stored in certain directories on the server. Our support covers the functionality of the software required to run the scripts but does not cover any design or programming issues. How do I set up an email account to forward to another account? Email forwarding allows you to configure any particular email address at yourdomain.com to automatically forward to another valid Internet address. For example, you might want all email sent to president@yourdomain.com to forward to the email address of your company president. Configuring e-mail forwarding for an address at yourdomain.com must be done by an Atlasta technician. Initial setup for your domain covers this procedure for the first 5 accounts. How do I publish my site with FTP? Once you have created your site you will need a program to upload the files and pictures. Please read Uploading Files with FTP. On the FTP page, you will be able to download WS_FTP (PC users) or Fetch (Macintosh users). You will also find detailed instructions on uploading your pages. How do I publish my site with FrontPage? To publish your site using FrontPage follow these steps:

In order to determine whether or not your site is FrontPage ready, please enter the following URL into the address bar of your web browser:
Remember to replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name. If you see a FrontPage configuration file, FrontPage has been installed. If you see this file but still cannot connect to the site with FrontPage, please email Technical Support Desk. How do I get FrontPage extensions installed on my website? New Accounts On the order form you will see a check box asking if you would like FrontPage extensions installed on your account. If you do then check the box and your FrontPage extensions will be installed during the activation of your account. Existing Accounts To have the FrontPage server extensions installed on your existing site, please send an email request to our Technical Support Desk with the following information:
Your User ID Confirmation that you have back-up files of all web pages on the site at that time. In most cases you will not need to delete files that are currently on your site to install FP extensions. However, if there are directories or files with special permissions (.htaccess) these will have to be removed. You can then re-establish permissions and password protection by using FrontPage Explorer. Installation will be complete within 24 hours. Upgrade Information All FrontPage extensions are running on FrontPage version 4.0.2.2717 or FrontPage 2000. How do I set up POP and Email clients? POP accounts are mailboxes that are set up in the control panel of your hosting account. This process will be described in detail to all account holders. Please contact the Technical Support Desk for a complete walk-through. Email clients are programs that run on your local computer and are configured to retrieve email from the POP accounts you set up on the control panel. Configuring email clients is described in the Email Client FAQ. How do I create or customize a mail form? Mail forms are web pages that accept information from visitors and submit the information to the site owner via email. There is a tool that can be used to automatically build a mail form. You can also modify or build forms to work with your CGI email program. NOTE: CGI users are reminded that any unauthorized use of your CGI Script, by exploit or otherwise is your responsibility. If it is discovered that your CGI script was comprimised, thus allowing an unauthorized user to access our servers, your script will be immediately disabled and you will be promptly notified. |
