Mail Abuse When reporting Unsolicited Commercial E-Mail (UCE or SPAM), please do *not* alter the subject line of the message when forwarding it to us. Also, please forward UCE without additional comments. Most of the UCE or SPAM that is sent on the Internet is forged, therefore, please carefully check the headers of the e-mail or USENET article you are reporting to ensure they are not forgeries. IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SPAM AND OUR SERVERS Our servers reside in the Evergreen State of Washington in the United States of America. Back in 1998 Washington State passed a law making Unsolicited Commercial Email ("UCE") received in the state illegal. Furthermore; Washington State Law gives us (an `interactive computer service`) the legal right and removes all liability for choosing to refuse any and all email suspected of being and known to be UCE, at our sole discretion. If you are reporting abuse from a source other than e-mail, such as AIM, IRC Chat, or UseNet, please contact the administrator from that service. We cannot be responsible for actions of users you contact outside our network.
If you are reporting a Denial of Service attack, attempts at unauthorized connections, or an actual break-in, please provide a sample of the logs showing the activity in question. Also, please include the time, date and the time zone of this activity. Additionally, please do not provide just a hostname. Many times reverse DNS (in-addr.arpa) is not update correctly or may be generic. Please make sure you include the actual IP address of the offending host. Criminal Activity Please remeber if you suspect a crime is being committed, you need to report it to your local police authorities. Atlasta.Net can only enforce its Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) with our customers. Also, please understand that we cannot report back on any action(s) taken against a specific customer due to our privacy policy.
